Thulir Foundation —
A Seed of Change

Thulir Foundation is a registered charitable trust dedicated to the upliftment of marginalized communities in the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu through education, healthcare, and social development initiatives.

Our name "Thulir" (துளிர்) means "sprout" in Tamil — symbolizing new beginnings, growth, and the immense potential that blooms when communities are nurtured with care and purpose.

Every rupee you contribute to us goes directly toward projects that create lasting and sustainable change. We are firmly committed to maintaining complete transparency and accountability in all our operations.

At Thulir Foundation, we believe that sustainable change begins at the grassroots. Our journey started with a simple conviction — that every person in Krishnagiri district, regardless of their economic or social standing, deserves access to education, healthcare, and opportunity.

We work in close collaboration with both State and Central governments to ensure our programs reach the most marginalized — women, children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and unemployed youth. Every initiative is driven by data, managed with transparency, and evaluated for real impact.

Objectives & Focus Areas

Thulir Foundation works across six core areas, each designed to address the root causes of inequality and build lasting community resilience.

Women Empowerment & SHG Development

Our objective is to create awareness among women regarding their role and significance in the economic growth of society, their right to attain holistic empowerment in socio-economic spheres, and women's development programs — specifically by providing training to their associations.

We also raise awareness concerning Women's Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), small savings, credit management, women's cooperatives, and healthcare services for women and children.
